Step 1: Verify the Presence of Your Onvocado Embed Code

  1. Go to the Onvocado Dashboard
Log in to your Onvocado account and click on Embed (usually located in the main navigation menu).
  2. Scroll down to “2. Verify Pixel Presence”
Within the Embed section, scroll to the heading labeled 2. Verify Pixel Presence.
  3. Locate Your Website and Click “Check Code Presence”
    • If you have multiple websites, select the relevant domain.
    • Click on the Check Code Presence button.
  4. Observe the Popup Window
A new window will load your website. After a few seconds, it should automatically close.
  5. Check the Button Status
    • If the button turns green and reads “Embed Code Present”, your verification was successful.
    • If not, proceed with the troubleshooting steps below.

Step 2: Troubleshooting Steps

If your Onvocado code is not detected (i.e., the button remains grey and still shows “Not Detected”), here are a few things you can do to fix the issue:

  1.  Verify Correct Setup with WordPress Plugin

If you used our WordPress plugin to embed Onvocado:

    1. Double-check all installation steps in our WordPress-Onvocado Installation Guide.
    2. Make sure you followed each step precisely (e.g., plugin activation, correct site ID, etc.).
    3. Return to Step 1 above and click Check Code Presence again.
  2. Confirm You’re Using the Correct Onvocado Snippet (Manual Embed)

If you’re manually embedding the snippet (not using the plugin), open your site’s source code to confirm the snippet matches exactly what appears on your Onvocado Embed Dashboard

Even small typos or missing characters can prevent the script from loading correctly.

  3. Confirm the Snippet Is Placed in the Correct Location

Ideally, your Onvocado embed code should be placed in the head or at the very bottom of the body on each page (depending on Onvocado’s installation instructions).

Check that you haven’t inadvertently inserted the script into another existing tag or line of code.

  4. Look for Duplicate or Conflicting Snippets

Having more than one Onvocado script on the same page can cause conflicts. If you see multiple references to the Onvocado code, remove duplicates.

  5. Clear Cache and Retest

If you are using a caching plugin or a CDN (like Cloudflare), clear the cache so the updated code or plugin settings can propagate.

After clearing cache, go back to the Onvocado dashboard and try the Check Code Presence step again.

  6. Verify No Ad Blocker or Script Blocker Issues

Some browser extensions or ad blockers can block certain JavaScript snippets.

Disable any ad/script blockers and re-check to rule this out as the cause.

  7. Check for Platform-Specific Considerations

Shopify: If you used a theme or custom code injection, ensure the snippet is placed in the correct theme file or under Online Store > Themes > Edit Code.

Other Website Builders: Platforms like Wix, Squarespace, or Webflow each have specific instructions for adding custom code.

  8. Confirm That Your Onvocado Account Is Active

Verify that your Onvocado subscription or account is active, as a suspended or inactive account may prevent the snippet from functioning properly.

  9. Still Not Working? Contact Onvocado Support
